The last time I had a session with Adalynn was when she was just a newborn. This girl has grown so much! Her mom (Becky) brought along a fabulous beaded necklace which I loved with the "naked" shots. Addy did great in her session! Thanks to the Krist's for coming to see me once again! Here are a couple of my favorites...

You may have already saw one of Jamie's photos in the competition prints post below but I wanted to officially post a few more shots from her session. I of course shot her first maternity shots and so I had to come up with something different for this round. We decided to have her husband Dave and her daughter Kylee join us for the session. Kylee is excited for her new sister! I love her huge smile! My absolute favorite shot is still the one I entered in competition but here is a few more "second" favorites...Thanks to Jamie, Dave and Kylee for coming up to Portland to see me! Enjoy...

Heather and Aaron drove down from Washington for their photo session (thanks guys!) I know its not THAT far....but I still appreciate it. I had a great time with this session. Last Saturday was a beautiful day so we were able to step outside at the end and take a couple shots. Poor Heather had to expose her belly to the busy traffic going by. But all was well. I love the cute shots we got...There are many more...but here are just a couple of my favorites. Thanks to both Heather and Aaron for coming to visit! I am looking forward to meeting your little one VERY soon :)

We have decided to enter our local Professional Photographers of Oregon print competition at the end of the month. Dan and I had a fun time just competing with each other as we prepared our photos for competition. I guess we will find out who won the battle soon. Here are my 4 entries. Let me know what you guys think! I am really excited about the ones I have chosen.

A few posts back I had you guys guess where in the world I was. Well I wish I was as far away as some of the guesses I got...but I was much closer to home in Tucson, Az. Dan and I were attending a convention called SPA. I know that sounds glamorous but we were working and learning. The SPA stands for Senior Portrait Artists. It was a photo convention geared towards shooting seniors. This is an area we are hoping to expand over the next year so we felt this was the perfect opportunity to get excited and get some new ideas. One part of the convention is getting to shoot wish some senior models that were brought from winning studios. These photos are just a couple I happened to catch. The models were great and handled the million and one crazy photographers that had cameras in their face. I am hoping I might be able to get one of my seniors from 2009 entered to be a model. Its great experience and would be a blast to have my client there. Will give more details this summer (this is only for seniors for 09).

Not too long ago I went to San Diego to take maternity photos of my good friends Genny and Josh. It seems like it was yesterday but I know time flies. So here we have their beautiful little baby girl Alyxandra Rayden. She is just about two weeks old in these photos....I love her little smile that shows her tiny little dimple. She had such long fingers and toes I had to show off her hands and feet. Alyx was wonderful to photograph and I loved being able to spend a few days with her. Thanks to Genny and Josh for putting up with me for a few days! I enjoyed seeing you both. Big Congrats on your new arrival! Here are my favorites...

Save the Dates! I just finished this save the date for Rich & Sarah. Save the Dates have gotten more and more popular. I have done quite a few over the last year. These engagements were shot around downtown Reno, Caughlin Ranch and a few little spots I love to go. I am looking forward to the wedding in Tahoe this Summer!
I had to post a couple photos of this little cutie. This is the son of Brian & Fiona Phillips who are a wedding couple Dan and I shot a few years back in Tobago. They live in New York so I have not had the pleasure of meeting little Nathaniel but asked if she would send a couple photos. He is such a little man! The sleeping shot was when Nathaniel was just a day old. The one with the cute hat was 2 months and the happy smile shot was 2 1/5 months. Thanks Fiona for sending these photos and letting me post them on my blog! I hope to see you guys again in the future!

I have enjoyed taking photos of little Ella this past year (you may recognize the little cutie) and now had the chance to meet her new little brother William who is just as cute as his big sis! I had a great time taking photos of Will and the family. Here are a couple of my favorites....Congrats to the Davison family on your new arrival and thanks for bringing him to see me!
